Description

Dr. Emily Foster is a board-certified psychiatrist with subspecialty training in psychopharmacology and mood disorders. She completed her residency at McLean Hospital (Harvard) and has spent over a decade treating depression, anxiety, and related conditions. Dr. Foster is passionate about evidence-based medication management and reducing the stigma around psychiatric treatment through education and accessible care.

Short History

Dr. Foster entered psychiatry after her own experience with depression in medical school taught her the profound impact that appropriate medication can have. During her training, she noticed a troubling pattern: patients with good insurance received optimal care, while those without struggled to afford even generic antidepressants. After years in academic psychiatry, she grew frustrated with insurance companies dictating treatment decisions and patients rationing medications to save money. She joined PharMAX to provide psychiatric care that prioritizes clinical outcomes over insurance authorization.
