Short History
Growing up in the Bronx during the AIDS crisis, Dr. Rodriguez watched his uncle die from HIV complications—not from lack of treatment, but from inability to afford consistent care. This experience shaped his entire medical career. After medical school at Cornell, he spent a decade working in community health centers, seeing firsthand how medication costs forced patients to choose between viral suppression and rent. When generic Truvada became available, he became a fierce advocate for making it accessible to all who needed it, regardless of insurance status.
