Description

Dr. Sarah Thompson is a dual board-certified medical oncologist and molecular biologist specializing in supportive cancer care and cellular health optimization. With a PhD in cancer biology from Stanford and clinical training at MD Anderson, she focuses on evidence-based supportive therapies that help patients maintain strength and quality of life during treatment. Her research on mitochondrial function during chemotherapy has been cited over 500 times.

Short History

Dr. Thompson’s interest in supportive oncology began during her PhD research when she discovered that certain generic medications could protect healthy cells during chemotherapy. After years in academic medicine, she grew frustrated with the “treat the disease, ignore the patient” approach that dominated oncology. In 2018, she left her position at a major cancer center to focus on holistic patient support. She joined PharMAX after witnessing patients spend thousands on unproven “wellness” products while being unable to afford evidence-based supportive medications.
